We had a wonderful visit last month from our cousins, Samantha and Lilly Kate. It made it extra special as my folks were still in town and were able to have some time enjoying Liam and Lilly Kate playing together, too. They really had a good time with the car racetrack. Lilly Kate really seemed to enjoy feeding the cars into the track booster and watching them go round and round. Later, Liam wanted to play with his play dough so it was exciting to see what masterpieces they each created with molds, buttons, sea shells, beads, etc.
It was so nice to spend some time with both of them especially since they live out of state. It is wonderful to visit family but I also know how overwhelming it can feel to want to see everyone and feel so spread thin. It's especially difficult with little ones who are out of their routine and really need to keep their nap schedule in order to function. So, thank you very much for including us this last visit. We truly recognize your effort and are soooo glad you were able to make the extra drive out to our side of the world.
Also, Liam thanks you for the Sesame stickers...they're always a hit. But most especially, thank you for the the sweet and thoughtful ornaments you made together. They're great!!! Liam really enjoyed opening the package and I know we'll have lots of fun decorating our "Easter Tree". We already put the froggy on the tree as his "green" makes him quite versatile for St. Paddy's, Spring and Zoo Parties, too!

It truly was a treat for Papa and me to watch Lilly Kate and Liam play together. Now that we are so used to "boy play" there is a very different twist to the playtime when a little girl is in the picture. I think they had fun in all the areas of the house. I know we did watching them. I'm so glad we were there!
We had a great time too. It's times like those when you really wish that you could live closer so that they could spend more time together. Lilly Kate has talked about her trip to see Liam and fondly talks about jumping on his bed and playing with his cars. We look forward to seeing you guys in April.
